Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lyman Bolton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eysteinn Thornsteisson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thornsteisson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Thornsteisson showed some decent athleticism there.

Bolton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bolton throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Bolton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Thornsteisson is controlling the pace.

Bolton bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thornsteisson's guard.
Bolton drops back, looking for a kneebar! Thornsteisson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Thornsteisson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Thornsteisson!
Bolton tries to bench press Thornsteisson off him but Thornsteisson keeps the position.
Thornsteisson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bolton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thornsteisson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bolton keeps working.
Thornsteisson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Thornsteisson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Thornsteisson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bolton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Thornsteisson.

Bolton lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Thornsteisson tries to get to full guard but Bolton has control of the leg.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bolton throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Thornsteisson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bolton's guard.

Bolton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Thornsteisson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Thornsteisson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

A lull in the action here as Thornsteisson stalls from top position.

Well Thornsteisson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
