Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Radd McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Askren has chosen wave after wave mr probs as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Radd McGregor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Benny Askren!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGregor gets tackled into the cage by Askren. Askren maintains the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Askren throws an elbow but misses.
McGregor jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Askren walks away with a smile on his face. McGregor gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Askren catches McGregor with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Askren gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McGregor has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
McGregor jumps guard but Askren stands there with McGregor around his waist. McGregor gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
McGregor tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
McGregor misses with a hook from the clinch.
McGregor is looking to break free of the clinch but Askren has double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGregor takes a shot to the head.
A body shot lands from Askren.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
McGregor tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
McGregor has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Askren keeps control of McGregor as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
McGregor pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
McGregor misses with a hook from the clinch.
Askren lands a body shot in the clinch.
Askren works on McGregor's body with a couple of short punches.
McGregor is breathing heavily.
McGregor jumps guard but Askren turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Radd McGregor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McGregor wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Askren lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Radd McGregor has been cut.
McGregor takes an elbow to the forehead.
Askren lands an elbow inside.
Askren comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Askren lands a vicious elbow to the side of McGregor's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Askren tries to finish him with strikes but McGregor still seems able to defend himself so Askren steps back and lets McGregor get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.

McGregor is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Askren gets a clinch.
Askren throws a blind hook that connects with the side of McGregors head.
Oh McGregor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Askren cracks McGregor with an upwards elbow that sends him tumbling backwards, out cold! McGregor is rigid against the cage, staring into space! Ouch, that was brutal, what a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Elbow). Benny Askren!
Benny Askren opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
