Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rimario Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reese has chosen Person of Interest OST - Knock Knock as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rimario Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Reese!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Reese throws a hook but Gracie avoids it easily.
Reese misses the jab.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Reese wants to get back to his feet.

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reese is trying to buck Gracie off.
Gracie is looking to take a break and control but Reese is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reese really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Gracie working for a guillotine from mount but Reese is in no mood to give up.

Gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Reese is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gracie.
Reese is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Gracie is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Reese to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Reese shrugs it off.

Gracie looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie working for a submission but Reese is keeping him at bay.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
You get the feeling that Reese really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Gracie trying to control but Reese is having none of it.
Reese is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Reese defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Gracie.
Gracie looking to control but Reese is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gracie is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Reese to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Reese shrugs it off.

Reese trying desperately to get to his feet.

Gracie tries to control but Reese wriggling away.

Gracie looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Reese wants to try and get back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reese can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Gracie working for a guillotine from mount but Reese is in no mood to give up.

Gracie looking to secure an arm triangle but Reese defends it well.

Gracie working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Reese turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gracie off and cradles Reese's limp body as Gracie celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Rimario Gracie!
After winning the bout, Rimario Gracie thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
