Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake's entrance music is Metallica - Dyer's Eve. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Blake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Chang!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Chang.

Blake scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Blake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chang swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee asks Blake politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Blake prefers to stall for the moment though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Blake has gone for a leg lock! Chang slips out almost immediately though and dives into Blake's guard.

Blake has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chang can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Blake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Blake had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Chang is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Blake Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Chang's back instead.
Blake is trying to stick to Chang's back but Chang is turning into Blake. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Blake's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Chang.

Chang drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blake looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blake looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blake!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Bobby Blake just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bobby Blake.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blake, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
