Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Akira Kanehara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Snatch Dat!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dat looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dat shoots in but Kanehara avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kanehara lands with a straight right. Dat didn't see that one coming.
Kanehara throws a body punch but Dat moves out of range.
Dat showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kanehara.
A big right from Kanehara misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dat walks into a straight right hand from Kanehara.
Dat shoots in but Kanehara avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Akira Kanehara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Snatch Dat.

Dat jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kanehara listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A big right from Kanehara misses.
Kanehara keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dat shoots for a takedown but Kanehara saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dat tries to bum rush Kanehara with a series of wild strikes but Kanehara uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kanehara throws a series of punches but Dat avoids them all with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dat ducks under a wild hook from Kanehara.
Kanehara throws a leg kick but Dat sees it coming and moves out of range.
Dat shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Dat looking to ground and pound but Kanehara is blocking nicely.
Kanehara really wants to buck Dat off and get back to his feet.
Dat trying to control but Kanehara is having none of it.
Dat is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kanehara can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kanehara on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kanehara tries to get out of the position.
Kanehara is trying to stand but he's just given Dat his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dat is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Kanehara has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Dat has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Kanehara taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Dat doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Snatch Dat!
