The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Souza closes the distance and clinches.
Nayoui is looking to break free of the clinch but Souza has double underhooks.
Souza using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Nayoui has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Souza tests Nayoui's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Souza walks into a stiff left hand from Nayoui.
Nayoui misses with a two punch combination.
Nayoui jabs at Souza's body.
Souza looks gassed!
Nayoui throws a series of punches but Souza avoids them all with ease.
Nayoui drops Souza with a right and a left! Nayoui comes rushing in but Souza regains his composure and manages to keep Nayoui in guard.

Souza is rocked!

It looks like Jacare Souza has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nayoui is looking to stand up but Souza won't let him.
Nayoui knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Souza on the ground.
Souza looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Nayoui wants to get up but he can't break Souza's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Nayoui controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Souza has a closed guard, preventing Nayoui from standing up.
Souza will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nayoui decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Nayoui is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Souza hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
