Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Will Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Paine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, DMX X GONNA GIVE IT TO YOU. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Paine.
Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.
Horrible takedown attempt by Paine or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith, which made it look bad.
An attempted straight right counter from Smith misses the target.
Smith throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Paine counters with a big head kick but Smith shrugs it off.
Paine throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Smith misses with a low kick as Paine jumps back.
Smith throws a right hand that Paine ducks under and follows up with a left that Paine also avoids with ease.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Paine slips a straight right by Smith.

Smith misses with a leg kick
and Paine counters with a three punch combo that has Smith backing up. Smith nods at Paine to acknowledge the strikes.
Smith takes a swing at Paine's ribcage but misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smith jabs Paine to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A head kick by Smith misses
and Paine counters with a left to the body.
Smith thuds a left hand into Paine's body.
Will Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Paine throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Smith's head.
Smith lands with a right hand.
A swing and a miss from Smith.
Paine lands a nice looking kick to the body. Smith takes a step back to recover.
Paine fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Paine manages to avoid it.
Smith cracks Paine with a right hand to the side of the head.

Paine clinches up against the cage.
Paine lands an elbow that stopped Smith in his tracks for a moment.
Smith pushes off an throws an elbow but Paine leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Smith wants to get back to striking at distance but Paine won't allow it.
Smith lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Paine slowing the pace effectively.
Smith gets underhooks to prevent Paine's takedown attempt.
Will Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Paine.

Paine is working for takedown but Smith is calmly controlling the position for now.

Paine manages to break the clinch.
Smith swings for the body but Paine moves out of range.
Nice cross by Smith.
Smith lands a right hook to the body.

Smith tries to keep at a distance but Paine has taken the fight into the clinch.
Paine tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Smith just stands there and leans against the cage.
Paine tries to pull guard but Smith won't allow it.

Paine pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Paine clinches up against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Paine.
Paine misses with a short punch on the inside.
Paine misses with a hook from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Paine lands an elbow just above Smith 's eye.
Smith is trying to drag Paine to the mat but Paine just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Smith wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Paine pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Paine avoids the head kick by Smith.
A punch combination from Smith misses.
Paine throws a shot to the body.
Paine takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Smith tests Paine's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Smith looks to land a combination but Paine avoids it well.
Paine shoots and misses

and Smith counters by clinching up.

Paine manages to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Smith cracks Paine with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Paine backs up against the cage.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith misses with a straight right.
Paine has a takedown stuffed.
No luck for Paine with that takedown attempt.
Paine tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Smith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Paine uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smith.
Paine scores with a head kick.
Paine throws a combination. Smith tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Paine tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A shot to the body from Smith misses
and Smith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Paine clinches up against the cage.
Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Paine.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Will Smith will probably get the nod.

Smith misses with a leg kick
and Paine counters with a good low kick that Smith was not able to check.
Paine takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.
Will Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Paine clinches.
Paine jumps guard but Smith turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Paine is working for takedown but Smith is calmly controlling the position for now.
Paine wants to take the fight to the mat but Smith manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Will Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Paine.
Paine dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Paine changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Smith fights it off and pushes away nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice jab there from Smith.
A head kick misses from Smith.
Smith does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Paine is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Paine moves out of range easily.
Paine fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smith throws out a leg kick but Paine moves out of range and Smith only half commits.
Paine throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Smith stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Paine misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Paine takes one to the side of the head.
Will Smith is winning the standup battle so far.

Paine pushes Smith up against the cage in a clinch.

Paine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Paine throws a head kick that misses.
Smith throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Smith lands a nice shot to the body.
Paine is breathing heavily.
Nice shot lands for Smith.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith cracks Paine with a hook to the temple - Paine is on wobbly legs here! Smith swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Paine falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Smith wins by TKO!

Will Smith tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
