Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tero Elo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Chick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tero Elo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tero Elo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Chick just misses with a punch to the body.
Elo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Chick sprawls and moves away.
Nice body kick from Chick.
Chick tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Chick counters with a slapping leg kick.
Chick wants to slow Elo down by chopping away at his legs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Elo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chick has escaped the position, nice work there.
Chick is trying to control Elo's posture but Elo avoids it.
Elo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Chick rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Elo's guard! Nice work there by Chick!

Elo seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Chick throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Elo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Chick.
Andy Chick is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chick misses the body punch
and Elo counters with a shoot takedown. Chick fights it but they end up in guard.
Chick bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Elo's guard.

Elo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

And Chick responds with a good body kick, but Elo manages to step out the way in time.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chick turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Elo advances position into side control!
Chick gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Elo trying to control from half guard but Chick is working away.
Elo uses his free foot to push down on Chick's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Chick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tero Elo will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Chick is looking to slow Elo down with leg kicks.
Chick lands a glancing blow to the side of Elo's head.
Elo takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Nice takedown defense from Chick. No joy for Elo on that attempt.

and Elo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chick won't be happy with that.
Elo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chick, who protects the arm well.
Chick tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Elo is defended easily by Chick.
Chick appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Elo dives in for a single leg takedown but Chick sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Elo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chick sprawls well. Chick wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Elo gets slowly back to his feet.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Chick - that will leave a mark!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Chick lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Chick leaves Elo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chick uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Tero Elo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Andy Chick showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Elo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Chick lets loose with a powerful body kick. Elo will feel that in the morning.

Elo will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Chick throws a leg kick which misses Elo's front leg but catches the back leg as Elo tries to avoid it.
Elo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Elo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Elo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

A lazy left from Chick finds it's target.
Chick misses with an uppercut.
Elo is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Chick lands with a kick to the ribs.
Chick lands with a right hand.
Chick has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Elo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Chick - the referee stops the clock and Elo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Chick. Elo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Chick lands with a kick to the temple. Elo shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Elo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Oh Elo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Elo seems to have got his legs back now.
Elo misses with a body shot.
Chick scoring well with a low kick there.
Chick misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Chick.

Chick looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Elo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Chick can pounce on him.

Chick fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Elo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Elo fails with a takedown attempt.
Chick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Elo was well out of range. Poor timing from Chick.

Elo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Chick lands a big head kick that sends Elo tumbling to the mat! Chick takes a step backwards and waves Elo back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Tero Elo has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Elo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Elo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chick lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Chick will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Chick. That's going to slow Elo down.

Andy Chick comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Chick has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
