The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Schultz catches Vampa right on the button with a cross.
Vampa moves away from the strike by Schultz.
Schultz loads up on a big right hand but Vampa slips the punch.
Schultz thows a left - swing and a miss!
Vampa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Schultz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vampa. Schultz does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vampa tries to score with a low kick but Schultz moves his leg out of the way.
It looked like Schultz was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Schultz misses with a head kick.
Schultz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vampa tries to counter with a clinch but Schultz shakes him off and moves away.
Schultz moves out of range as Vampa strikes.
Vampa throws a low kick but it's checked well by Schultz.
Vampa throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Schultz tries a head kick but it misses.

It looks like Dave Schultz has been cut.

Vampa has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Schultz uses from the top position.

Vampa has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Schultz doesn't defend quickly enough and Vampa has managed to lock this one up! Can Schultz escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Vampa on a fantastic submission victory.
