The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersson avoids the head kick by Fernandez.
Andersson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Andersson throws a leg kick but Fernandez checks it.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Andersson enables Fernandez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Andersson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Andersson is trying to keep Fernandez in close.
Andersson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Fernandez should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Andersson has tightened it up now! Fernandez should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

After the fight, Andreas Andersson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
