The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valdez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Valdez misses with a double jab
and Morris counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Morris wants to stand but Valdez is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Morris stuffs the takedown attempt from Valdez. Valdez gets slowly back to his feet.
Morris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Valdez shoots in for a takedown but Morris shows good takedown defense.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Valdez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Morris looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Valdez takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Morris throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Valdez was covering up waiting for the punch and Morris finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Morris passes Valdez's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Declan Morris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Morris bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here as Morris stalls from top position.
Valdez is looking to regain half guard here but Morris keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Morris cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Valdez is rocked!
Valdez is in a horrible position here. Morris smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Valdez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Morris tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Valdez takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Morris cracks Valdez with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
