Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hathaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown thumps Hathaway with a low kick.
Brown looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hathaway throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brown tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hathaway is in Brown's guard.
Brown on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brown tries to get out of the position.
Hathaway slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Let's hope that Hathaway has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hathaway working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Hathaway is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hathaway is working Brown over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
