Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenta Yuudai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuudai comes to the cage accompanied by Know your Enemy - Yoko Kanno. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kenta Yuudai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Darius Henderson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Lesnar misses.
Lesnar scores with a sloppy right hand. Yuudai should have avoided that one.
Yuudai misses with a right hand

and Lesnar counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Yuudai is trying to control but can't.
Yuudai tries to get to full guard but Lesnar has control of the leg.

Yuudai is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lesnar pulls his head out easily.
Lesnar throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lesnar throws a strike but Yuudai avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

My spies in The Shield inform me that Lesnar has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Lesnar cracks Yuudai with a big right hand but Yuudai just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Lesnar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Yuudai has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lesnar swings around for an armbar but Yuudai sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lesnar's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Lesnar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yuudai doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Yuudai manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lesnar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yuudai is one step ahead there.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Lesnar wants to stand but Yuudai is controlling the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Yuudai tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

A close round but Brock Lesnar will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


A looping hook to the body misses from Yuudai. Lesnar does a little dance to reset his feet.
Yuudai bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Lesnar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Yuudai, pushing him back against the cage.
Yuudai tries to work over Lesnar's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Lesnar drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Yuudai gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Lesnar goes for a takedown attempt but Yuudai pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Brock Lesnar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lesnar throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Yuudai tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lesnar is in Yuudai's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Yuudai escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lesnar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lesnar is looking to work some ground and pound but Yuudai has wrist control.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Yuudai lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lesnar at a distance.

Lesnar shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yuudai defends it nicely.
Kenta Yuudai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lesnar.

Yuudai leaves Lesnar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lesnar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lesnar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A close second round but Brock Lesnar will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Yuudai was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Lesnar takes one to the chin there.
Yuudai throws a body punch but Lesnar moves out of range.
Yuudai keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lesnar dives in for a single leg takedown but Yuudai sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Yuudai throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Yuudai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Yuudai moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Kenta Yuudai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Yuudai drives through and clinches with Lesnar against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lesnar has hold of one of Yuudai's legs. Yuudai is fighting the takedown attempt but Lesnar gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kenta Yuudai.
I think Lesnar has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
