Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hu Kokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcello Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown. Kokov tries to sprawl out of it but Sanchez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kokov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sanchez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kokov.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kokov enables Sanchez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kokov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanchez looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kokov has picked Sanchez up and slammed him! Sanchez can't keep hold of the triangle and Kokov manages to pass to side control!

Sanchez has a hand on Kokov's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kokov takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
BOOM! Kokov connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The referee warns Sanchez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sanchez tries to lock up and control but Kokov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Kokov prevents Sanchez from getting the reversal.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

It looks like Marcello Sanchez has been cut.

Kokov loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Sanchez scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Kokov land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Kokov stands and salutes the crowd.

A relieved looking Hu Kokov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
