The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belle shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Medeiros pinned against the cage. Medeiros gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Medeiros feinted with a counter takedown.
Medeiros is trying hard to land a takedown here. Belle sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Medeiros wants to control from the top but Belle keeps moving.

Belle is looking for a triangle but Medeiros pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belle is looking to stand up but Medeiros isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Belle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Medeiros can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Belle takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Medeiros has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Belle wants to get back to his feet but Medeiros is dominant here and he's now got Belle's back!
Belle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Medeiros lands a shot to the body.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Medeiros's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Medeiros has the hooks in. Belle is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Belle wants to get back to his feet.

Medeiros lands strikes from the back and Belle isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.
