Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Riddle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Vonleh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roger Riddle has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roger Riddle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Noah Vonleh!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vonleh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Vonleh misses with a wild combination.

Vonleh drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Riddle wants to stand up but Vonleh is controlling him.
Riddle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vonleh is one step ahead there.
Riddle wants to stand and escape but Vonleh is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Riddle looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Riddle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Vonleh stopping the sweep attempt from Riddle.
Vonleh's corner is telling him to maintain position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Vonleh stands and steps away. Riddle gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Vonleh swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Vonleh circles away from the clinch attempt.

Riddle gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Vonleh wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Vonleh's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Vonleh has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Riddle is trying to keep an underhook but Vonleh manages to get the takedown into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Riddle is trying to stand up here but Vonleh is controlling him well.
Vonleh stalling.
Riddle avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Vonleh.
Vonleh wants to free his trapped foot but Riddle is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Vonleh sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Riddle defending well though.
Riddle trying to hold on to Vonleh's head to control him but Vonleh postures up.
Vonleh is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Riddle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vonleh's waist but Vonleh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Riddle off to one side.
Vonleh blocks a head kick by Riddle.

Vonleh looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Riddle is breathing heavily.
Riddle wants to sweep but Vonleh has passed to side control!
You can see the frustration on Riddle's face as Vonleh controls the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Riddle pushes Vonleh away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Vonleh gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Vonleh stands up and beckons Riddle to his feet.
Riddle tries to clinch there but Vonleh circles away.
Riddle fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vonleh darts in and out, connecting with a jab.


It looks like Roger Riddle has been cut.

Vonleh shoots in and bounces Riddle off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.


Riddle is rocked!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vonleh throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Oh Riddle is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vonleh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Riddle seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vonleh wants to pass the guard but Riddle is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Noah Vonleh dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Roger Riddle's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Vonleh changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Riddle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Riddle wants to control but Vonleh postures up.

Vonleh is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Riddle is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Vonleh is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Riddle will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Riddle is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Vonleh's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Vonleh is controlling the pace.

Vonleh's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Riddle tries to get to full guard but Vonleh has control of the leg.
Vonleh prevents Riddle from standing back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Vonleh goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Vonleh throws an overhand right that drops Riddle like a sack of potatoes! Vonleh dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Noah Vonleh!
