Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jake Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Doby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Doby!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Nelson enables Doby to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nelson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Doby got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nelson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doby has managed to get both his arms back between Nelson's legs - danger averted.

Doby is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nelson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Doby lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Nelson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Doby is looking for a kimura but Nelson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Doby to get the leverage.

Nelson rolls with it to try and escape but Doby cranks on the arm and Nelson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

A relieved looking Shane Doby thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
