Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Danial Frank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Saul Saullas!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saullas dodges the punch combination from Frank.

Saullas feints and as Frank raises his hands in defense, Saullas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saullas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Frank is proving hard to escape from.
Frank is trying to control the position but Saullas postures up.
Frank is really struggling to control Saullas but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Saullas wants to control from the top but Frank keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saullas tries to free his leg and advance position but Frank is retaining full guard.
Saullas controls from within his opponent's guard.
Frank is trying to keep Saullas in close.

Frank wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Saullas.
Frank is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Frank is looking to reverse the position.
Frank taking a bit of punishment here - Saullas scoring with strikes.
Frank dodges the ground and pound from Saullas.
Frank tries to improve position but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saullas wants to control but Frank is keeping him busy.
Frank taking punishment in the form of punches.

Frank is not content to let Saullas control the position.
Frank is trying to control Saullas's posture but Saullas avoids it.
Frank parries the strikes from Saullas easily there. Saullas is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Frank to escape.

Saullas is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Frank has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Frank manages to get back to half guard.
Frank won't allow Saullas to pass to mount.
Frank wants to improve his position but Saullas is controlling well.
Frank moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Frank wants to get back to his feet but Saullas is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Frank looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Saul Saullas dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Saullas lands a leg kick that knocks Frank off balance momentarily.
Frank really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Saullas slaps away a takedown attempt from Frank, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Saullas fails with an attempt to clinch.
Some wild striking there from Frank.
Saullas steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Frank.
Danial Frank is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Frank fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saullas avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frank takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


Frank is rocked!


It looks like Danial Frank has been cut.
Saullas has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Saullas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Oh Frank is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Saullas gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Frank.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danial Frank. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Saullas shoots and scores a devastating slam takedown! Frank is unconscious as Saullas celebrates over his stricken foe!
