Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worner throws the left hand but Lee avoids the punch easily.
Lee misses with the combination.

and Lee counters with a three punch combo that has Worner backing up. Worner nods at Lee to acknowledge the strikes.

Lee closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lee has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Worner is landing a low percentage of strikes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Lee tries to break the clinch but Worner is controlling the position.

Lee unleashes a big counter combination but Worner bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Lee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Worner has him pressed against the cage.

Worner is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lee wants to break free but Worner has control.

Lee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Lee decides to stand up, so the ref orders Worner to his feet.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Worner keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
