The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins shoots in looking for a takedown. Melnicata tries to sprawl out of it but Jenkins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Melnicata manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jenkins decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Melnicata is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Combat Fitness, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
