The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkham shoots in but Faulkner avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Faulkner seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Rex Volkham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Volkham looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Faulkner fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Volkham avoids it really well and circles away.
Faulkner shoots in looking for a takedown. Volkham tries to sprawl out of it but Faulkner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Volkham manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Volkham is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Faulkner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Faulkner connects with a nice short shot to Volkham's temple.
