Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Aragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alonzo Diggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diggs is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Trick Daddy - In Da Wind. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Aragon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alonzo Diggs!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aragon avoids the head kick by Diggs.
Diggs throws a low kick, looking for Aragon's leg but Aragon calmly moves out of range.
Diggs with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Aragon to score with a decent uppercut.
Aragon misses the shot to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Aragon.
Aragon throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Aragon scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Aragon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Diggs connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Diggs misses with a double jab.
Aragon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Aragon takes a swing at Diggs's ribcage but misses.
Diggs throws a counter combo.
Diego Aragon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aragon looks for the body kick but Diggs saw that one coming.
Aragon checks a low kick from Diggs.
Aragon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Diggs on the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Aragon wants to land a leg kick but Diggs is out of range.
Aragon darts in looking for a takedown but Diggs gets double underhooks and turns Aragon into the cage.
Diggs misses with a looping right.
Diggs dodges the punch combination from Aragon.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Diggs! But no joy.
Aragon misses with a two punch combination.
Diggs has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Aragon.
A nice inside leg kick there by Diggs. That's going to slow Aragon down.
Aragon swings for the body but Diggs moves out of range.
Aragon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Diggs.
Diggs lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Aragon walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Diggs fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Aragon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Diggs keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Nice defenses there by Aragon.
Diggs throws a body kick that misses.
Diggs has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nice straight punches there by Aragon. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Aragon.
Aragon pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Diggs back to the cage. Aragon follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Alonzo Diggs has been cut.
Diggs throws a lazy uppercut
and Aragon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Aragon.
Aragon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A nice inside leg kick there by Aragon. That's going to slow Diggs down.
Aragon fails with the takedown
and Diggs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Aragon throws a good cross that connects.
Diggs takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Aragon throws a lazy right hand but Diggs sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Aragon missing with a left hand there. Diggs was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Aragon lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Diggs misses with an uppercut. Aragon saw that one coming.
Aragon misses with a jab to the body
and Diggs counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Aragon misses with a two punch combination.
Alonzo Diggs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Aragon tries for a takedown but Diggs circles away easily
and Diggs connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Aragon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Aragon defending well as Diggs loads up on a big left hand.

Diggs throws a jab but it's blocked by Aragon.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Aragon.
Aragon throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Aragon throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diggs throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Aragon fails with a takedown attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Diggs. Those never looked like landing.

Aragon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Diggs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Aragon cracks Diggs with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diggs wants to control but Aragon postures up.
Aragon working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Sloppy strikes there by Aragon.

Diggs sneaks out the side door and pushes Aragon away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Aragon ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Aragon's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Aragon duly obliges.
Aragon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Aragon misses with a lunging right hand
and Diggs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diego Aragon dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Alonzo Diggs's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Aragon throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Diggs takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Good exchange - Diggs coming out on top.
Aragon takes a swing at Diggs's ribcage but misses.
Aragon scores with a jab to the jaw.
Aragon throws a head kick that Diggs semi-blocks.
Diggs throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Diego Aragon is winning the standup battle so far.
Aragon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Aragon misses with a kick to the body.
Diggs is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Aragon.
Aragon throws a nice looking combination but Diggs bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Diggs's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Aragon throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Diggs throws a leg kick which misses Aragon's front leg but catches the back leg as Aragon tries to avoid it.
Diggs lands with an uppercut that bounces Aragon off the cage and back into range.
Diggs lands with a cross.
Aragon pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aragon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Diggs slips a jab from Aragon.
Diggs throws a looping overhand right but Aragon ducks down to avoid it.
Aragon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Aragon throws a lazy body kick
and Diggs counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Diggs fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Aragon manages to avoid it.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Diggs in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
No joy there for Aragon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Diggs throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Aragon.
Aragon throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Diggs looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Aragon avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Aragon misses with a wild combination.
Aragon thows a leg kick but Diggs checks it
and Diggs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Diggs counters with a stiff right hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Diggs rushes Aragon with punches - Aragon moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Aragon goes down! Diggs follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alonzo Diggs!
A relieved looking Alonzo Diggs thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Diego Aragon had this to say: 'Gutted really, But no one gave me a chance anyway. We will have to see what happens now.'.
