The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putkilo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Putkilo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lima keeps working.

Lima is looking for a sweep. Putkilo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Putkilo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Putkilo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Putkilo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Horrible takedown attempt by Putkilo or perhaps it was just good defense by Lima, which made it look bad.

Lima content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Putkilo has locked up a guillotine! Putkilo's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lima is holding on here and Putkilo must be using up a lot of energy. Lima has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Putkilo gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
