Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 2, fighting out of New York, Arthur Smith !
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands with an uppercut that bounces Kuklin off the cage and back into range.
Kuklin takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Smith closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Well, if Smith is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kuklin is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Javi´ Corner, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Kuklin tries to get to full guard but Smith has control of the leg.
Smith looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kuklin wants to improve his position but Smith is controlling well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Smith moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kuklin throws a jab but it's blocked by Smith .
Kuklin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Smith counters with an inside leg kick.
Kuklin shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Smith with the counter takedown but Kuklin avoids it easily.
A cross from Kuklin lands.
Kuklin is looking to clinch.
Smith drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kuklin defends it well.
Smith scores with a body shot.
Kuklin missing with a left hand there. Smith was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Smith looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Smith content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Kuklin is looking for a sweep. Smith is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kuklin has a hand on Smith 's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Smith takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Kuklin is in all sorts of trouble here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Smith cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Smith lands a nice shot to the head.
Smith prevents Kuklin from getting the reversal.
Kuklin sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Smith tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kuklin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Smith lands with a punch from half guard.
Smith works his foot free and advances to mount.
Smith lands a big shot there that rocks Kuklin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Arthur Smith dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Smith takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Arthur Smith has been cut.
Ivan Kuklin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kuklin. That did some damage!
Smith lands a nice looking kick to the body. Kuklin takes a step back to recover.
Kuklin throws a hook but Smith avoids it easily.
Kuklin looks to score with a jab to the body but Smith is just out of range.

Kuklin has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Smith escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Smith !

Kuklin is trying to work for a sweep but Smith has mounted him!
Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
