The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez fails with the takedown.
Nice jab there from Kearney.

It looks like Homero Lopez has been cut.
Kearney tries to close the distance and clinch but Lopez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lopez has a takedown stuffed.
Lopez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kearney as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Homero Lopez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No joy there for Lopez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lopez tried to score with a low kick but Kearney checks it.
It seemed like Kearney was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Lopez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lopez shoots in but Kearney avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lopez gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kearney pushes Lopez away with a front kick.

A left lands for Kearney.

Lopez is rocked!
A combination from Kearney does no damage.
Oh Lopez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kearney throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lopez seems to have got his legs back now.
Kearney misses with a leg kick.
Lopez attempts a counter takedown but Kearney avoids it well and moves away.
Kearney lunges at Lopez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lopez's hand.
Kearney connects with a nice cross there... Lopez is looking wobbly and Kearney recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Lopez to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Kearney jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
