The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battle is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Shearer.
Shearer tries to bum rush Battle with a series of wild strikes but Battle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Battle seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

It looks like Thurman Battle has been cut.

Battle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Nice combo by Shearer! Oh, that's hurt him - Battle falls to the canvas and Shearer follows him into side control.

Shearer lands a strong strike to the head of Battle. That's dazed him! Shearer looking to finish here. Battle is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Shearer lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
