The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva moves into range and clinches up with Carney.
A nice left hand lands by Silva.

Silva lands a takedown into guard.

Carney is looking for a triangle here but Silva uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Silva has control of an arm but Carney manages to advance to Silva's back!
Carney thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Carney missing with strikes.
Silva trying to control the hands but Carney won't let him.
Carney is trying to stick to Silva's back but Silva is turning into Carney. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Carney's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Silva.

Carney looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Silva passes into half guard.
Silva lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Silva lands a nice short elbow.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Carney has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.
Carney tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Silva has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Carney tries to lock up and control but Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Carney is looking to get to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is landing with some decent strikes but Carney is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

It looks like Korey Carney has been cut.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Silva! Carney is hurt baaadly! Silva is firing away with more strikes - Carney is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
