The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Nguyen.
Nguyen looks to land a combination. Lopez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Nice takedown defense from Nguyen. No joy for Lopez on that attempt.
Left hook, right uppercut from Nguyen.
Nguyen stuffs the takedown.
Lopez shoots for a double leg takedown but Nguyen sprawls well. He's pushed Lopez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tommy Nguyen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alejandro Lopez.
Lopez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lopez takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Nguyen cracks Lopez with an open hand slap.
Lopez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nguyen's waist but Nguyen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lopez off to one side.

Lopez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Lopez walks into a straight right hand from Nguyen.
Nguyen throws a good cross that connects.
Nguyen lands with a shot to the body.
Nguyen connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Nguyen connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lopez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lopez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Nguyen stalks Lopez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lopez's face. Lopez staggers backwards, shaken.

Nguyen is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
A decent looking cross lands there for Nguyen.
Lopez is still on wobbly legs! Can Nguyen finish him?

Nguyen moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Lopez takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nguyen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lopez seems to have recovered his senses.
Lopez takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Lopez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nguyen closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Lopez has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Nguyen scores with a hook to the body. Lopez takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Nguyen connects with a crisp jab.
Nguyen's corner calls for a 1-2. Nguyen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That has opened up Alejandro Lopez's cut even more.
Nguyen throws an overhand right that has Lopez reeling! Nguyen follows up with more punches and Lopez is out cold! This one is all over!
