Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonathan Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pat Verbeek!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verbeek throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Banks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Banks scores with a nice right hand.
Banks connects with a nice looking jab.
Verbeek throws a half hearted mid kick.
Banks looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jonathan Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Verbeek throws a push kick but Banks slaps the foot to one side.
Verbeek scores with a jab to the jaw.
Banks scores with a decent looking hook.
Verbeek looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Banks takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Banks stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Verbeek.
Banks throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Banks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Verbeek manages to avoid it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Banks misses with a body shot.
Banks throws out a loose jab but Verbeek uses good head movement to avoid it.
Verbeek throws out a counter right but Banks avoids it with no problem.
A slapping leg kick lands for Verbeek.
A solid leg kick lands there for Verbeek.
Banks throws a right hand that misses
and Verbeek counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Verbeek chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Verbeek keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Banks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Verbeek manages to avoid it.
A punch combination from Verbeek misses.
Verbeek misses with a looping right.
An attempted straight right counter from Banks misses the target.
Banks throws a jab when Verbeek was well out of range.
Banks misses with a wild body shot.
Banks misses with an uppercut.
A punch lands to the side of Verbeek 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Verbeek lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Verbeek uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Banks.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Verbeek! But no joy.
Banks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Banks throws a poor cross that misses
and Verbeek counters with a stiff right hand.
Banks throws a jab when Verbeek was well out of range.
Banks misses with a hook to the body
enabling Verbeek to counter with a crisp jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Verbeek lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Banks takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Banks swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Verbeek throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Banks on the side of the head.


Banks is rocked!
Banks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Banks misses with an uppercut
and Verbeek counters with a nice leg kick.
Verbeek ducks under a wild hook from Banks.
It seemed like Verbeek was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Verbeek bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Oh Banks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Banks is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Verbeek throws an uppercut from hell that sends Banks clean off his feet! He's out cold! Verbeek stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pat Verbeek!
After winning the bout, Pat Verbeek thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
