The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arjuna slips a jab and a cross from Vasquez.
Arjuna motions for Vasquez to come forward. Arjuna throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Arjuna really is a fat lump.
Arjuna is looking to clinch.
Arjuna shoots in looking for a takedown but Vasquez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Arjuna's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Vasquez scores with a hook to the body. Arjuna takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Arjuna closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Nice takedown defense from Vasquez. No joy for Arjuna on that attempt.
Arjuna tries to clinch up.
Arjuna shoots in and drives through. Vasquez sprawls well.
Vasquez appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Merah Arjuna. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vasquez thuds his right hand into Arjuna's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
