The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Vantrell counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Vantrell trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Vantrell loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Steel avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Vantrell postures up.
Steel is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Steel tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Vantrell throws a strike but Steel rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vantrell is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Steel frees his head nicely. Oh but Vantrell has switched to an armbar! Steel is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
