Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathon Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Stuart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jonathon Sosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lee Stuart!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sosa gets caught flat footed, as Stuart shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Stuart got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sosa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stuart has managed to get both his arms back between Sosa's legs - danger averted.

Sosa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Stuart swats away the attempt to clinch by Sosa.

Sosa slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Sosa wants to sweep here but Stuart controlling him for the moment.
Sosa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sosa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stuart can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stuart must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Stuart loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Stuart shoots in looking for a takedown but Sosa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stuart's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Stuart darts in and clinches Sosa up against the cage.

Sosa is trying to drag Stuart to the mat but Stuart just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Stuart should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Stuart breaks from the clinch.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Stuart shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Sosa seems a little lost for a moment, as Stuart dominates the positioning.

Stuart fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Stuart throwing shots but missing, from side control.
The strikes coming from Stuart are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sosa being controlled for a moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sosa misses with a kick to the body.

Stuart gets a takedown into half guard.
Stuart thows a huge punch but Sosa dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stuart looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Stuart has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Stuart working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Sosa wants to get back to full guard but Stuart has mounted him!
Stuart thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Stuart unloads with some shots from mount but Sosa bucks and avoids them well.
Sosa takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.


Sosa is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sosa takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Stuart's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lee Stuart!
