PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcin Piotrowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey The Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcin Piotrowski had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Piotrowski scores with a takedown into The Dude's guard.
The Dude wants to sweep here but Piotrowski controlling him for the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Piotrowski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Piotrowski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Piotrowskiis looking to pass into half guard but The Dude pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now The Dude is in guard.
Piotrowski is looking to stand up but The Dude isn't so interested in that idea.

The Dude thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Piotrowski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The Dude looks for the body kick but Piotrowski saw that one coming.
Marcin Piotrowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Dude takes a swing at Piotrowski's ribcage but misses.
Piotrowski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says The Dude as he avoids it easily.

The Dude gets the takedown into side control.

The Dude is trying to get an arm triangle but Piotrowski is defending well.
The Dude works to advance to full mount. Piotrowski defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Piotrowski is breathing heavily.

The Dude is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Piotrowski is forced to tap! Great finish!
