Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Chambers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mack Turner!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chambers did well to prevent Turner getting side control.

Turner wants to take a breather but Chambers is having none of it.

Turner is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chambers doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Turner.
Chambers wants to improve his position but Turner is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Turner is trying to control. Chambers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Chambers dives in for a single leg takedown but Turner sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Chambers wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Turner is now in half guard.

Turner is working for a kimura but Chambers is defending it quite comfortably.

Chambers makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Chambers.

Turner advances to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turner seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chambers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Chambers is trying to get back to full guard.

Turner wants to work for an arm triangle but Chambers is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chambers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Turner is working away from the top position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Turner swings around for an armbar but Chambers sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Turner's guard.

Chambers goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Turner turns into him and now he's in Chambers's guard.

Chambers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Turner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Turner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Turner manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Chambers on his heels. He'll look to pass Chambers's guard now, I'm sure.

Turner is looking to take a break and control but Chambers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Chambers tries to buck Turner off but Turner is having none of it.

Chambers prevents Turner from moving into mount.

Turner is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Chambers knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Chambers regains half guard there - taking advantage of Turner's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Turner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Turner is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Chambers has managed to free his arm - good work.
Chambers is looking to improve his position.

Turner frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Chambers is looking to get to half guard.

Turner goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Chambers is on top in guard.
Chambers looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Chambers won't allow Turner to sweep him here.

Chambers drops back, looking for a kneebar! Turner looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Turner looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Turner!


Turner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chambers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Turner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Turner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Chambers sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Turner uses his free foot to push down on Chambers's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Chambers.
Chambers tries to lock up and control but Turner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Chambers is desperately trying to improve his position but Turner has a good base and remains in mount.
Chambers looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Chambers is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Turner gets his way!

Turner has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Chambers has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Chambers is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Turner is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Turner has escaped and now he's on top!


Turner drops back looking for a leg! Chambers is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chambers manages to kick Turner off! Turner jumps back into Chambers's guard.

Mack Turner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Turner has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
