Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayes comes to the cage accompanied by Off With Their Heads - Their Own Medicine. Lewis has chosen Nelly - Hot in here as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Hayes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Lewis !
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes throws a body punch but Lewis moves out of range.

Hayes gets a clinch.
Lewis stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Hayes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lewis smiles and moves away.
Lewis keeps the fight on the outside.
Hayes closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hayes walks into a jab.
Lewis 's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Lewis duly obliges.
Lewis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hayes tries to close the distance and clinch but Lewis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lewis avoids the body shot from Hayes.
Lewis lands an overhand right.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hayes closes the distance and clinches.
Hayes drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lewis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lewis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hayes looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hayes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hayes slips nicely into half guard.

Hayes gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
A punch lands to the side of Hayes 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hayes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lewis darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Hayes moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Hayes fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lewis to the ground. Hayes is now in Lewis 's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hayes forces his way into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hayes performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Hayes seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lewis for as long as he can get away with.
Nice strikes from Hayes there.
Lewis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hayes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hayes escapes and gets back to his feet.
Hayes looks to clinch
and Lewis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lewis goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Hayes scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hayes missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Hayes sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lewis defending well though.
Hayes slows the pace down in half guard.

Hayes is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Hayes is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Lewis is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Robert Hayes!
