The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falwell avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Falwell feints the counter takedown.
A left and a right from Smith both land. Nice combination.
Smith misses with a few strikes there.

Smith is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Falwell's half guard.
Smith working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Falwell is rocked!

Falwell is still in real trouble! Can Smith finish him?
Falwell has hold of Smith's hands but Smith slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Smith lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Falwell quite badly. Falwell pulls Smith in close trying to recover. Smith postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Falwell on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Falwell doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maurice Smith!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Maurice Smith waved his t-shirt featuring Brazil War House (Laundry 90%)'s logo in front of the cameras.
Yahweh Falwell spoke after the fight, saying 'Hasa diga eebowai. I guess I didn't pray hard enough, or maybe prayed too much. I bet if I rolled more instead of praying, I might have learned to defend submissions. I guess it's God's will. But to quote George Carlin: "If it's God's will and he's going to do what he wants to anyway, why'.
