The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machete throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Slowinski tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Machete manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Machete cracks Slowinski with a good jab.
Machete lands a jab to Slowinski's midsection.
Slowinski tries to clinch but Machete is having none of it.
Machete getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Slowinski is looking to clinch but Machete is avoiding it.
Slowinski fails in his attempt to clinch.
Machete scores with a sloppy right hand. Slowinski should have avoided that one.
Donk. Machete catches Slowinski right on the button with a cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Slowinski moves in looking to clinch but Machete pushes him off.
Machete keeps the fight on the outside.
Slowinski tries to close the distance and clinch but Machete swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Slowinski is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Slowinski takes a jab right on the kisser.
Machete connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Slowinski tumbling to the canvas! Machete pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Slowinski was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Don Machete!
A relieved looking Don Machete thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
