Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremiah Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lynch's choice of entrance music: Suffa by Hed Pe. Lucas Lynch will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeremiah Hopkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lucas Lynch!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Ron Honeybunn and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lynch forces Hopkins back against the cage and clinches.
Lynch is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hopkins is defending well.
Lynch fails to pull guard.

Hopkins has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lynch regains guard immediately.
Hopkins stops Lynch from standing up.
Lynch has his hands on Hopkins's head, controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lynch is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hopkins is looking to stand up but Lynch won't let him.
Hopkins really is a fat lump.
Hopkins stops Lynch from standing up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Lynch has a closed guard, preventing Hopkins from standing up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Lynch throws a right hand that Hopkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Hopkins also avoids with ease.
Hopkins is looking to counter the offense by Lynch and move into the clinch.

Lynch manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Lynch tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hopkins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeremiah Hopkins will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lynch has a takedown stuffed.

Lynch darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lynch content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hopkins is trying to maintain the position but Lynch is very close to passing his half guard.

Hopkins decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lynch, up you get!

Lynch is breathing heavily.
Hopkins uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lynch.

Hopkins moves into the clinch.

Lynch breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lynch rushes Hopkins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hopkins is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Lynch as Hopkins tries to tie him up.

Hopkins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Lynch might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hopkins haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Lucas Lynch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Lynch throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hopkins tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lynch is in Hopkins's guard.

Hopkins is working an open guard so Lynch takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Lynch gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hopkins.
Lynch tries to pull guard but Hopkins won't allow it.

Hopkins wants the takedown. Lynch is fighting it off but Hopkins persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lynch's guard against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lucas Lynch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lynch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
