Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wyatt Foreman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wyatt Foreman has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wyatt Foreman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juan Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Cruz shoots in and gets a takedown into Foreman's guard.
Cruz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Foreman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cruz throws a strike but Foreman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Cruz controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cruz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cruz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Foreman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Foreman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cruz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Cruz has his foot on Foreman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Foreman works his way back into a safe position though.
Foreman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cruz has his hands on Foreman's head, controlling the position.
Cruz controls Foreman momentarily but Foreman frees himself.

Cruz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Foreman is aware though and is defending well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cruz looking for a sweep. Not yet Cruz, not yet.
Cruz is trying to keep Foreman in close.
Cruz doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Foreman enables Cruz to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Foreman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cruz won't allow Foreman to sweep him here.
Cruz wants to get up but he can't break Foreman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Foreman wants to sweep here but Cruz controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Foreman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cruz gets the takedown into side control.
Foreman manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Foreman prevents Cruz from standing back up.

Juan Cruz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Foreman is not content to let Cruz control the position.

Foreman seems a little lost for a moment, as Cruz dominates the positioning.
Cruz tries to stand but Foreman is controlling his head.
Cruz is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
