The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Van Drunen drops Ashkram with a beautiful combination! Ashkram stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Van Drunen is looking for the KO!

Van Drunen manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Ashkram postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Van Drunen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ashkram, into his guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Van Drunen stands and steps away. Ashkram gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Van Drunen lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Ashkram up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Van Drunen from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Ashkram's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eryc Van Drunen!
