Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Love-Hate Powell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eric Cooke!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooke scores with a jab to the body.
Cooke misses with a kick to the body.
Powell throws a head kick that misses.
Powell is looking to clinch but Cooke is avoiding it.
Cooke drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Powell defends it well.
Powell lands a nice hook to Cooke's body. Cooke takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nice uppercut lands for Powell. That snapped Cooke's head back.
Powell connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Powell cracks a nice hook into Cooke's ribs.

We've been hearing reports that Powell has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Cooke is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Powell can't fight it off and eventually Cooke manages to take the fight to the floor. Powell looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Powell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cooke's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Love-Hate Powell will probably get the nod.

Cooke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Powell but Powell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Powell is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cooke's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Cooke looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Powell with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cooke has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
