Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Neckpunch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reed's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Welcome to the jungle. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neckpunch on the wrong end of a nice jab.

It looks like Sam Neckpunch has been cut.
Neckpunch changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Neckpunch throws a body punch but Reed moves out of range.
Reed throws a right and a left that Neckpunch avoids nicely.
Neckpunch shoots in for a takedown but Reed shows good takedown defense.
Neckpunch fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Reed is out of range.

Neckpunch forces Reed back against the cage and clinches.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Reed misses with a straight left.
A right-left combo lands from Neckpunch.

Reed falls off balance throwing a combination
and Neckpunch cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Neckpunch does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Reed lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Reed is breathing heavily.
Reed shoots for a double leg takedown but Neckpunch sprawls well. He's pushed Reed's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Neckpunch takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Neckpunch throws out a loose jab but Reed uses good head movement to avoid it.

Reed drops his hands momentarily and Neckpunch takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Neckpunch cracks Reed with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Neckpunch has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Reed to stand back up!

Reed is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Neckpunch.
Jamal Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Neckpunch is nestled in close to Reed, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I would just about give that final round to Sam Neckpunch.
Well Neckpunch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
