Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maria Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miguel Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ramirez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dunn, pushing him back against the cage.
Ramirez has Dunn pressed against the cage, preventing Dunn from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Dunn slows down the pace here.
Ramirez tries to land knees in the clinch but Dunn avoids the damage to the body.
Ramirez is trying to break the clinch but Dunn is controlling him.
Ramirez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dunn fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ramirez is defended easily by Dunn.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dunn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ramirez swivels and escapes.
Ramirez shoots for a takedown but Dunn saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ramirez goes for a double leg but Dunn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dunn continues to drive forward.

Dunn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ramirez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ramirez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Ramirez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dunn dodges the punch combination from Ramirez.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dunn as he jumps to the side.

and Dunn moves into the clinch.

Dunn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ramirez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dunn but Dunn pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dunn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ramirez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown but Dunn shows good takedown defense.

A frustrated look appears on Dunn's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Dunn tries to clinch but Ramirez moves out of range.
Ramirez misses with a straight right.

Dunn rushes Ramirez and presses him up against the cage.
Dunn has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Ramirez blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The referee calls for Ramirez to work.
Ramirez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Ramirez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dunn to keep the fight standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dunn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ramirez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dunn tries to avoid it but Ramirez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dunn to the ground. Dunn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dunn drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ramirez sprawls and moves away.

Dunn moves in looking to clinch but Ramirez pushes him off.
Dunn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dunn tries to clinch up but Ramirez circles away and keeps his distance.

Dunn feints and as Ramirez raises his hands in defense, Dunn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Dunn postures up and lands a big shot to Ramirez's brow.

Dunn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ramirez wants to stand but Dunn is controlling the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

That was a close second round but I would say that Maria Dunn will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Ramirez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dunn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ramirez somewhat.
Dunn tries to clinch but Ramirez moves out of range.
Dunn leaves Ramirez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dunn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
