Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Urai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Didion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urai comes to the cage accompanied by Sever the Wicked. Sam Urai has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Didion with a lazy takedown attempt
and Urai counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Didion connects with a single shot there.
Didion dodges the punch combination from Urai.
Didion throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Didion's coach down at Tokyo Fitness & Sparring was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Didion's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Didion looks to score with a jab to the body but Urai is just out of range.
Urai takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Didion throws a right and a left that both miss.

Didion has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Urai finds it's way round the side to connect with Didion's head.
Urai chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Didion can pounce on him.

Didion lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Didion shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Urai manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Urai feints a jab promting Didion to slip. Urai then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Didion slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Urai clobbers Didion with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Urai feints and then cracks Didion's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Didion down.
Didion throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Didion is looking to score with low kicks.
A jab lands there for Urai.
Urai throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sam Urai will probably get the nod.

Didion drops his hands momentarily and Urai takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Didion counters with a nice double leg into side control. Urai won't be happy with that.

Didion wants to take a breather but Urai is having none of it.
Didion working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Didion winds up and cracks Urai with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Didion is pressing down on Urai's thigh, looking to free his foot. Urai is holding on for now.
Didion looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Urai with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Didion stalling away here and it's allowed Urai to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Urai has his foot on Didion's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Didion works his way back into a safe position though.

Sam Urai opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
