The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Calzaghe.
Miyamoto throws a sloppy body shot
and Calzaghe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fight stays on the outside here - Miyamoto looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Miyamoto tries to clinch

Miyamoto throws an elbow but it misses.

Miyamoto pushes Calzaghe back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Miyamoto creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Calzaghe's defenses.

Miyamoto moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Calzaghe connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Miyamoto takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Miyamoto moves to clinch but Calzaghe breaks away
and Calzaghe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Calzaghe takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

The fight stays on the outside here - Miyamoto looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Miyamoto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Calzaghe swats him away and circles back towards the center.

It looked like Calzaghe wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Calzaghe, as that shot connected.
Miyamoto lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Calzaghe circles away quickly and effectively.
Calzaghe is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Miyamoto.

Calzaghe loads up on a big right hand but Miyamoto slips the punch.
Miyamoto throws a left and a right that both miss
and Calzaghe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Miyamoto is rocked!
Calzaghe weaves into range and cracks Miyamoto right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Miyamoto goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Calzaghe is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
