Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Odell Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Linas Atmanavicius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Odell Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Linas Atmanavicius!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atmanavicius throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ryan's head.


It looks like Odell Ryan has been cut.
Atmanavicius tries for a takedown but Ryan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Nice sprawl there from Ryan as Atmanavicius shoots in.
Ryan misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Atmanavicius counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Atmanavicius.
Atmanavicius prevents Ryan from breaking the clinch.
Ryan looking to throw knees to the head but Atmanavicius is blocking nicely.
Ryan throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Atmanavicius blocks it with crossed arms.

Ryan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ryan tries to clinch up but Atmanavicius circles away and keeps his distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Atmanavicius looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Atmanavicius thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ryan went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Atmanavicius throws a sloppy head kick and Ryan moves out of range easily.
Ryan swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Ryan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ryan in particular looking to stall.

Ryan stands up from half guard.
Atmanavicius changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ryan tries to avoid it but Atmanavicius manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ryan to the ground. Ryan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Odell Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Linas Atmanavicius.

Ryan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ryan showed some decent athleticism there.

Ryan decides to stand up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ryan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Atmanavicius will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Ryan creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Ryan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Atmanavicius is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ryan is trying to get an arm triangle but Atmanavicius is defending well.
Atmanavicius takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Atmanavicius slips a jab and a cross from Ryan.
Ryan throws out a loose jab but Atmanavicius uses good head movement to avoid it.
Atmanavicius doesn't manage to clinch there - Ryan circles away.
Ryan throws a body punch but Atmanavicius moves out of range.

Ryan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Odell Ryan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ryan stands up and beckons Atmanavicius to join him on the feet.

Ryan darts in and clinches Atmanavicius up against the cage.
Atmanavicius looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Atmanavicius is breathing heavily.
Ryan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Atmanavicius has him pressed against the cage.

Ryan breaks the clinch.

Ryan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ryan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Ryan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ryan decides to stand back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Atmanavicius is defended easily by Ryan.

Ryan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Atmanavicius to the ground. Ryan is now in Atmanavicius's guard.
Atmanavicius can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ryan controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Atmanavicius is working an open guard so Ryan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ryan stands and steps away. Atmanavicius gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Ryan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Atmanavicius is trying to stand.

Ryan decides to stand and escape the position.

Ryan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ryan gets to his feet - Atmanavicius follows without any prompting.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Atmanavicius gets caught napping as Ryan dives in and scores a takedown. Atmanavicius manages to retain guard.

Ryan gets to his feet. Atmanavicius looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Ryan feints and as Atmanavicius raises his hands in defense, Ryan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ryan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Atmanavicius's guard.
Ryan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Atmanavicius wants to get back to his feet.

Ryan is looking for a kimura here.

Atmanavicius takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ryan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Atmanavicius is just riding it out for now. Ryan eventually gives up the hold.
Well, if Ryan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ryan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ryan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Atmanavicius for as long as he can get away with.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Ryan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Atmanavicius can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ryan controls the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

And that's the end of the fight!
Odell Ryan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Ryan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
