Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Raje Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kari Parisyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parisyen has chosen Hari ng Tondo as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kari Parisyen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Malapitan catches Parisyen right on the button with a cross.
Malapitan misses with a hook.
Parisyen looks for a takedown but Malapitan sprawls well.
Malapitan keeps the fight on the outside.
Parisyen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Malapitan avoids it really well and circles away.
Parisyen misses with an attempted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Parisyen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Malapitan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Malapitan is looking for a kimura but Parisyen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Malapitan to get the leverage.
Parisyen works his way to full guard. Good work.
Parisyen wants to sweep but no luck.
Kari Parisyen has got the better of the ground game so far.
Malapitan tries to free his leg and advance position but Parisyen is retaining full guard.

Malapitan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Malapitan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Parisyen is trying to control the position but Malapitan postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Malapitan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Parisyen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Malapitan, into his guard.

Parisyen works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Parisyen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Parisyen wants to take a breather but Malapitan is having none of it.
Malapitan is looking for a sweep. Parisyen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Parisyen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Parisyen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Parisyen is stalling here. Malapitan is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Parisyen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Malapitan has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Parisyen gets back to half guard.

Malapitan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Parisyen was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A jab from Malapitan finds it's way through Parisyen's defenses.
Parisyen lands a brutal head kick. Malapitan looks out on his feet and Parisyen throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
