Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sean Doyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anzor Aziev!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doyle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Aziev's guard.
Doyle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Aziev is keeping the position for now.
Doyle distracts Aziev with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Doyle has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Doyle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Doyle's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doyle is looking to work some ground and pound but Aziev has wrist control.

Doyle has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Aziev shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Doyle closes the distance and clinches.

Doyle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Doyle scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Doyle wants to pass the guard but Aziev is defending well.

Doyle has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Aziev works to full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Aziev shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Aziev showed some decent athleticism there.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Aziev wants to advance to full mount but Doyle doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Doyle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aziev darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aziev winds up and cracks Doyle with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Aziev is working for a kimura but Doyle is defending it quite comfortably.
Aziev is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Aziev thows a huge punch but Doyle dodges it nicely.

Aziev wants to control but Doyle is keeping him busy.

Aziev is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Aziev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doyle swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Aziev works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Aziev is thwarting Doyle's attempts to control the position.
Aziev stops Doyle from getting back to his feet.
Aziev is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Doyle is looking to improve his position.
Doyle is refusing to be controlled, as Aziev sits in half guard.
Doyle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aziev on the ground.

Doyle manages to get to full guard.
Doyle keeping moving, preventing Aziev from controlling successfully.

Aziev drops back looking for a leg! Doyle is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Doyle manages to kick Aziev off! Aziev jumps back into Doyle's guard.
Aziev wants to control from the top but Doyle keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Doyle lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Doyle is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Doyle wants to clinch up but Aziev keeps it at a distance.

Doyle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aziev looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Doyle goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Aziev has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Doyle but great work by Aziev.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Aziev is working to tighten his grip on Doyle's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Doyle has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Aziev is really squeezing tight and eventually Doyle passes out! Aziev breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Anzor Aziev!
