Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiyato Nakamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigo Silva had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks to land a left hand but Nakamara moved out of range nicely.
Despite the aggression on Nakamara 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Nakamara shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A quick step to the side and Silva tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Silva looks to land a body kick but Nakamara moved away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nakamara looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Silva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Let's hope that Nakamara has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Silva wants it to stay on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Nakamara shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva 's guard.

Silva pushes Nakamara off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Silva is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nakamara 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nakamara 's back!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rodrigo Silva .
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silva , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
