Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrew Havener!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frank McAfee!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Havener is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McAfee shapes to counter with a head kick.
McAfee tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Havener defends well and McAfee ends up having to push Havener into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

McAfee drives through and clinches with Havener against the cage.

McAfee lands a takedown into guard.
McAfee postures up.
Havener seems keen to control McAfee's posture.
McAfee controls from within his opponent's guard.
McAfee wanted to stand there but Havener had control of the position.

Havener gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
McAfee prevents the takedown attempt.
Havener is pressed up against the cage. McAfee has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Havener down to the mat. Havener avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Andrew Havener is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Havener keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Andrew Havener has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank McAfee.

McAfee closes the distance and clinches.

Havener tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McAfee paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McAfee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Havener sprawls well. Havener wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McAfee gets slowly back to his feet.

McAfee gets control of Havener's arms and successfully pulls guard. McAfee will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Havener wants to control from the top but McAfee keeps moving.
Havener is fighting to break McAfee's control of his arms but McAfee is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Havener knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McAfee on the ground.

McAfee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Havener doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Havener manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Havener would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
McAfee is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Havener wants to stand but McAfee is controlling his posture from full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

McAfee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

McAfee wants to free his trapped foot but Havener is holding on for dear life with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Havener wants to get back to striking at distance but McAfee won't allow it.
McAfee has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Frank McAfee is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Frank McAfee.
